Fashion Meets Conservation: Syrena Swimwear and VoLo Foundation Make Waves at Paraiso with “Walk for Wildlife”

Under the sultry glow of a Miami sunset, a different kind of fashion statement unfolded at Paraiso Miami Beach — one not just of glamour, but of conscience. On Saturday, June 1st, Syrena Swimwear partnered with the VoLo Foundation to present “Walk for Wildlife,” an emotionally charged, eco-conscious runway show that married sustainability with storytelling in an unforgettable way.
Taking center stage at one of the world's most influential swimwear platforms, “Walk for Wildlife” transcended typical runway spectacle. Instead, it offered a poignant meditation on fashion’s role in environmental change. From its use of recycled materials to its striking animal-inspired prints, each look served as a visual love letter to the planet — and a reminder of what’s at stake.
Designer Mila Miskovic of Syrena Swimwear, long known for her commitment to ethical design, used the runway as a call to action. “This show was a celebration of nature’s beauty and a reminder that protecting wildlife isn’t just a cause — it’s a responsibility,” she shared backstage. Every swimsuit told a story, honoring endangered species and habitats with bold prints and sustainable craftsmanship.
Elevating the impact were two powerhouse women who walked the show: Yohana Vargas, the beloved TV host and vocal environmental advocate, and Pao Ruiz, a social media force whose TikTok presence continues to redefine what it means to use influence for good. Both brought charisma and authenticity to the runway, reminding the audience that change starts with visibility — and voice.
Adding scientific credibility and advocacy power, the VoLo Foundation — helmed by Thais Lopez Vogel — infused the event with a deeper resonance. Their mission to support data-driven climate solutions gave the show substance beyond style. “Fashion has the power to shift culture,” Vogel stated. “And when aligned with science, it can accelerate awareness like never before.”
The result was more than a fashion show. It was a movement — one where purpose and beauty walked hand in hand. In a week dominated by trends and tan lines, “Walk for Wildlife” stood out not just for what it presented, but for what it provoked: reflection, urgency, and a resounding hope that fashion can indeed help save the world.
