Inside the Table: An Intimate Evening Welcoming Chef Mauro Colagreco to The Lake Como EDITION

On Thursday, June 5th, culinary mastery and luxury hospitality converged in New York City as EDITION Hotels, Omnam Group, and Bain Capital hosted an intimate dinner to unveil a landmark partnership with world-renowned Chef Mauro Colagreco. The celebrated chef, best known for his three-Michelin-starred restaurant Mirazur on the French Riviera, will helm the culinary vision for The Lake Como EDITION, set to become one of Italy’s most anticipated hotel openings.

Held in a refined and discreet setting, the guest list was as thoughtfully curated as the evening’s menu. Notable names across culinary, creative, and cultural spheres—Padma Lakshmi, Ella Emhoff, Romilly Newman, Cassandra Grey, Carole Radziwill, and Florence Fabricant, to name a few—gathered to honor the chef's next chapter. Also in attendance were key voices behind the EDITION brand and its partners, including George Fleck (SVP, Global Brand Leader, EDITION), David Zisser and Guy Heksch (Omnam), and Robert Mangan (Bain Capital).

Over a bespoke four-course dinner with Italian wine pairings, guests experienced a preview of the Mediterranean-forward approach that will define Colagreco’s menus in Lake Como. Known for his devotion to nature and sustainability, Chef Colagreco is curating dining concepts that will pay homage to Italy’s regional flavors, artisanal producers, and seasonal ingredients. His vision merges tradition and innovation—elevating local heritage through modern, sustainable gastronomy.

“This is more than a partnership; it’s a philosophy,” said EDITION’s George Fleck. “Chef Colagreco’s approach aligns perfectly with the EDITION ethos: sophisticated, soulful, and deeply rooted in place.”

The Lake Como EDITION marks another chapter in Colagreco’s growing international portfolio, which includes acclaimed restaurants in London, Tokyo, Bangkok, and Hong Kong, as well as the newly opened Dior Café in Bangkok. His flagship Mirazur, voted World’s Best Restaurant in 2019, continues to redefine what it means to cook in harmony with nature, blending biodynamic farming with avant-garde technique.

As champagne flowed and conversation lingered long after the final course, it was clear: this wasn’t just a dinner—it was the beginning of a new era in luxury hospitality, grounded in story, substance, and flavor.
